Transit Oriented Communities Report - CT

This Metro-North Transit Oriented Communities report was produced in partnership with Yale University, along with funding from the RPA of Connecticut, Desegregate Connecticut, amd the Stamford Downtown Association to provide consultant services and further the study of the future of resilience and growth of the TOD-oriented communities. Walkability and access to transit were found to be highly correlated with taxable value per acre, showing the state that it can encourage good design regulations within municipalities in order to foster financial stability and independence within local municipal governments. Beyond a Value Per Acre flood-value analysis, GIS was used to digitally map the impact of certain zoning regulations as detrimental to the financial health and value productivity of the walk-shed areas around each train station.
