Housing in the Jungle

“Neotopia” - Yucatán Peninsula, Mexico 2023

Located in the Yucatán region, Neotopia threads elements of radiality, community, and urban fabric fragmentation. The design is anchored by three architectural moments - jungle immersion, canopy gliding, and landscape submersion. Stone walls and wooden structures echo local materials, and a fractal site design accommodates various typologies for communal living. Domestic typologies introduces the notion of shared spaces and activities such as living, dining, and bathing.
